Job Description

Kerchanshe Trading P.L.C, the leading producer and exporter of coffee in Ethiopia, is seeking a dedicated and motivated candidate for the position of Specialty Coffee Desk Team Leader. The team leader will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all export business and coffee inspection activities carried out by Kerchanshe Trading P.L.C.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and secure contract registration at NBE.
  • Communicate with clients via email and other platforms.
  • Receive client orders and agree on shipment dates.
  • Coordinate sample checks and verifications by clients.
  • Maintain communication with buyers and provide necessary information.
  • Process shipping instructions, export permits, and commercial invoices.
  • Exchange bank details with clients and handle draft LC.
  • Forward specifications to operations for coffee preparation.
  • Ensure coffee is available at the warehouse.
  • Process certificates such as quality, phytosanitary, and fumigation.
  • Receive and forward permits and shipping instructions to transporters.
  • Follow up, facilitate, and secure certificates.
  • Manage ICO, TC, GSP, Annexes, and other related processes.
  • Verify and compile documents and forward them to facilitators.
  • Submit documents to the bank and ensure timely delivery to the buyer’s bank.
  • Maintain copies of all documents in customer files.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or Department Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Qualification: BA/BSc. in IT, Management, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience: 4 years of relevant experience.

Job Description

Kerchanshe Trading P.L.C, the largest producer and exporter of coffee in Ethiopia, is seeking a dedicated and motivated candidate for the position of Junior Documentation Officer. The officer will be responsible for ensuring that export processes are followed and operational procedures are created. They will ensure successful completion of the export process, including coffee dispatch, document preparation, and adherence to timetables.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organizing an archiving system and retrieving documents upon request.
  • Adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Exchange bank details with clients and receive shipping instructions and draft LC.
  • Forward specifications to operations for coffee preparation.
  • Ensure coffee is available at the warehouse.
  • Process certificates such as quality, phytosanitary, and fumigation.
  • Receive permits and forward them to the transporter along with shipping instructions and invoices.
  • Follow up, facilitate, and secure certificates.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure consistency in documentation practices.
  • Utilize storage software and applications for electronic filing.
  • Proofread documents upon request.

Job Requirements

  • Qualification: BA/BSc. in IT, Management, Economics, Accounting, or related field of study.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Required Skills:
  • Proven work experience as a Documentation Specialist or similar role.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Documentation Specialist.
