Position 1: HR Intern (FEMALE ONLY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or Human Resources Management
  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Strong organizational skills and ethical conduct
  • Proficiency in computer applications

Role:
The HR Intern is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Human Resources function. This entails maintaining accurate records of personnel matters for CARE Ethiopia Country Office staff. The intern aids daily HR and administrative operations, liaising with employees, management, and external partners such as insurance companies and banks.

Position 2: Engineering Intern

Requirements:

  • BSC degree in Engineering (Construction, hydraulic, etc.) or related field with zero-year experience
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
  • Advantageous knowledge of Oromiffa language

Role:
The Engineering Intern will engage actively in various aspects of project implementation, including construction, rehabilitation, and quality assurance. This role will involve frequent travel to project sites, specifically Adama town and Adama woreda. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in sanitary infrastructure construction
  • Regularly supervising construction progress
  • Mobilizing community involvement
  • Ensuring contractor compliance with standards
  • Participating in training for proper operation and maintenance of infrastructures

Position 3: Public Health Intern

Requirements:

  • BSC degree in public health, Environmental health, or related field with zero-year experience
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
  • Knowledge of local language

Role:
The Public Health Intern will focus on school-level promotion and facilitation, along with other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Responsibilities include:

  • Distributing communication materials to schools and outreach groups
  • Mobilizing target groups for menstrual health and hygiene practices
  • Supporting project capacity building
  • Conducting supportive supervision on health promotion
  • Frequent travel to project sites

Position 4: MIS Intern

Requirements:

  • BA/BSC in Management Information System (MIS), Information Technology (IT), Data Management, or related fields
  • Excellent proficiency in Ms. Word, Excel, Access
  • Research and data management skills
  • Knowledge of local language

Role:
The MIS Intern will engage in community-level promotion, collaborating with influencers, health workers, and community organizations. Responsibilities include:

  • Raising awareness among target groups
  • Engaging with various community stakeholders
  • Distributing communication materials
  • Mobilizing target groups for menstrual health and hygiene practices
  • Generating project data for reports
  • Frequent travel to project sites
