Job Vacancy: Market Access and Trade Policy Officer
The British Embassy in Addis Ababa is seeking a Market Access and Trade Policy Officer to join their Department of Business and Trade (DBT) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying market access barriers, analyzing and prioritizing these issues, and developing and executing influencing strategies to remove them. They will also work to create more conducive conditions for trade and investment to flourish.

- Language Requirements: Fluent in English (essential) and Amharic (desirable)
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Degree in business, economics, management, finance, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in investment or government services and/or supporting private sector companies/organizations in doing business
- Current knowledge of Ethiopia’s economy, government, and business environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent drafting skills
- Fluency in the language of business and investment
Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Knowledge of the UK economic and business environment
- Existing relationships across Ethiopia’s economy, government, and business sector
