The bank, which was established on November 10, 1994, is one of Ethiopia’s pioneering private banks.
It started its operations on February 13, 1995, with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and 486 founding shareholders.
Since its establishment, Awash Bank has experienced remarkable growth and has shown superior operational and financial performance compared to other private banks in Ethiopia, despite global and domestic challenges.
Currently, the bank is focused on strengthening its capital base, technological capabilities, human resources, and customer base.
Here are the job positions available:
Position 1: Customer Service and Operations Manager
Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Marketing & Economics, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in operational work.
Place of Work: Dima Branch, Gambella Region – DimaTown V. No HO/01227/23; Meti Branch, Gambella Region – Meti Town V. No HO/01228/23; Kuja Branch, Bench Sheko Zone – Kuja Town V. No HO/01229/23; Konta Branch, Konta Zone – Ameya Town V. No HO/01230/23.
Position 2: Branch Manager Class IV
Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, and Economics, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant banking experience, including 3 years in a supervisory position.
Place of Work: Tepi Branch, Sheka Zone – Tepi Town V. No HO/01226/23.
Position 3: Operations Manager
Qualification & Experience:- BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Marketing & Economics.- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with at least 3 years in operational work.Place of Work: Gambella Branch – Gambella Town V. No HO/01231/23Skills Requirement: – Mandatory knowledge of computer operations.Term of Employment: Permanent Salary & Benefits: – As per the Bank’s Salary Scale & Benefits Package.
