Job Description:
Ahadu PLC, established in 1992, aims to spur rapid industrial growth, develop modern mechanized farms, distribute industrial and commodity products, establish a health and grain & pulses export business, and invest in real estate.

The Human Resources Director will play a key role in implementing the company’s human resources strategy by designing and executing effective talent acquisition, development, motivation, and retention programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the HR vision, strategy, and priorities aligned with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Administer employee insurance programs to provide compensation in cases of injury or death.
  • Oversee general services including security, cleaning, maintenance, postal communication, and ensure smooth business operations.
  • Mobilize, assign, and reallocate resources as required to achieve HR strategies.
  • Develop and implement human resources and administration policies and procedures.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with employment agencies, universities, professional societies, and other relevant bodies.
  • Lead the design and execution of competitive and effective rewards programs.
  • Establish and maintain an effective employee relations program and grievance handling mechanisms.
  • Monitor the proper implementation of employee welfare programs.
  • Advise senior management on talent, workforce, and workplace matters.
  • Drive the development and updating of standardized HR administration formats.
  • Lead the design and implementation of effective variable pay/incentive programs.
  • Develop and enforce departmental policies and procedures, ensuring continuous review and improvement.
  • Lead, motivate, inspire, develop, and manage the HR organization.
  • Develop, approve, and monitor HR budgets.
  • Coach and mentor employees within the department for effective career development.
  • Evaluate the performance of subordinates on a periodic basis.
  • Oversee the utilization of HR information systems.

Job Requirements:

Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field with at least 8 years of experience, including 3 years at a managerial level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, or related field with at least 10 years of experience, including 4 years at a managerial level.
  • Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is desirable.
